Elon Musk’s SpaceX has requested the permission to US government to provide the fastest global internet with the network of 4,425 satellites.
The firm is planning to launch 4,425 satellites in orbit around the Earth to provide the world with fastest data rates of the internet and has planned to increase the satellites over three hundred (300) percent and he was requesting the government to operative massive satellites.
The California-based company said that had designed the system in a way to provide high-speed data rate to residential, commercials, institutes, government and worldwide to all corners of the globe undercutting existing services in coverage and cost. The system will give you a speed of 1 GB per end user and capable of fastest speed – he wrote it in SpaceX application.
The SpaceX system will provide you space-based alternative technology to cable, fiber optics and will enhance the requirements of the people in the world.
The theme of satellite internet of the Musk SpaceX was not the first one – similar many other organizations including One Web and Boeing are working privately to develop the system and over $200m satellite by Facebook is launched for the same purpose of global internet service via satellite and later on was destroyed by this launch.
The latest document didn’t describe the exact budget of the Musk firm for this purpose but he earlier said to cost at least $10 billion in January 2015 but later on, he got funding from Google Inc and Fidelity Investments and gathered the amount of $1 billion to launch satellite firm.
The Musk tells that satellite would orbit at altitudes 715 miles to 790 miles and almost covering the area on ground – this is the above space station. SpaceX project was hitting the market by making a pitch while One Web and other organizations are also under development of the same idea.
The founder of SpaceX also said that today 4.2 billion people are offline due to some reasons – giving high speed is not an easy but the SpaceX is ready to launch satellites – connectivity drives the internet of things and launching internet from the space will prove profitable to everyone.
He also added the size of each satellite is a size of average car that doesn’t have solar panels and weight 850 pounds – he doesn’t give the exact date for the launch of satellites and hoping to resume the launch of satellites next month.
